Technical Outreach Officer, Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC), National Research Council

Daniel Hutama joined the business development team of the Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC) as a technical outreach officer in early 2024. By leveraging his finance background together with his technical expertise in coherent optics, Daniel is an expert at understanding new technologies and moving them from research laboratories to financially viable commercial production. Prior to joining CPFC, Daniel held both business development and technical roles in photonic software and hardware companies where his work spanned coherent telecom/datacom applications, secure communications hardware, and optical sensors.

Yesim Sezerman
Marketing and Regional Sales Manager, OZ Optics Limited

Yesim Sezerman is the Marketing and Regional Sales Manager for OZ Optics Limited; worldwide supplier of fiber optic components, test equipment and sensors. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Marketing from University of Ottawa and an Executive Masters in Marketing and Sales from Bocconi University and ESADE. With her specialization in Marketing and Sales, she has increased visibility and awareness which assists her with maintaining and fostering partnerships in the photonics community. Her ultimate goal is to bring the Canadian photonics community to a new frontier.

Gabrielle Thériault
Marketing Director, Gentec-EO

Gabrielle Thériault’s mission is to make laser measurement technologies easier to understand and use. Currently Marketing Director at Gentec-EO, her training as a physics engineer and her work experience as R&D Project Lead give her a unique perspective into both laser operator needs and researcher requirements. Her PhD research in biophotonics led to a microscopy patent that is currently used by a fast-growing photonics company in Canada.
