A guide to access and participate in open projects

During COVID-19 Pandemic, the Canadian Governments are helping the industry

During COVID-19 Pandemic, the Canadian Governments are helping the industry. You probably are wondering how you can participate in the different projects that help with the current pandemic of the COVID-19.

As identified by the Canadian Health official, different funds can be accessed through multiple institutions: NSERC and IRAP are two of those. NSERC is having a list of projects that you can find at the following link: https://www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca/Innovate-Innover/COVID-19/challenges-defis_eng.asp.

These projects target mainly Colleges and Universities that can provide assistance in a proposed project and help the industry. If you are interested, you can directly apply online by declaring your interest in a project.

IRAP has different programs that you can access, and some of them you can find at the following link:

Also to understand what is needed, I would recommend that you read at the below link some advice from Invest Ottawa’s Adam Dewar. https://www.investottawa.ca/blog/so-youve-decided-to-apply-for-government-grants/

Photons Canada/CPIC is happy to hear from you if you need help accessing any of the above and our help is free for all CPIC members.
