Presentation on the DND IDEaS Program

Join Eric Fournier, Director General R&D Innovation from DND’s IDEaS program for an update on the latest program developments at an in-person meeting at Bayview Yards Innovation Center between 09:00 and 10:30 on Wednesday June 29th.

Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) is the DND/CAF access to innovation program which will be investing $1.6 billion in innovations for defence and security over the next 20 years.

The IDEaS program is designed to improve DND’s access to the creative potential of Canadian innovators. It plans to use the knowledge and concepts of innovators to enhance defence capability, create an economic impact, and ultimately, to build an innovation ecosystem for national defence.

From the early stages of an idea to the final testing in a real world environment, IDEaS mobilizes Canadian innovators through defence and security challenges and collaborates to best adapt, shape and maximize the potential of their technology.

This special session is presented by Innovations for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) co-sponsored by Invest Ottawa and the Canadian Photonic Industry Consortium.
